Let us jump

…Come then, find your ball and racket,

Pop into your winter jacket,

With the lovely woolen lining.

While the sun is brightly shining,

Let us run and play together

And just love the autumn weather…

Autumn Song  - Katherine Mansfield

Here we all are. Back at school and many of us back at work - in our actual work environments - how strange it all is. What should feel normal perhaps feels slightly other wordly.

Katherine Mansfield is my favourite New Zealand writer. She makes the ordinary wonderful, with the small domestic details of life celebrated as they should be. I love this poem. A reminder to run, jump and play - and mostly to enjoy being together.

Have a good week.
